Description

Mixed-use office/retail urban infill project in the historic core of downtown San Mateo. Project includes 3,500 square feet of retail and office lobby on the first floor, office space on the second and third floors, with an occupied basement with an additional 20,000 square feet of office space.

Traditional trabeated details and materials were blended with modern elements to respond to the historic context with a modern building. The design includes an atrium to the basement space providing natural light and visual interest along the street. Amenity space was developed on the roof as well as a balcony on the third level overlooking 3rd Avenue.
